Still can't believe this is the same teen titans go team! like how?!

I feel like TTG failed on so many levels because it added a 'wacky' level of humor that the Teen Titans didn't need. TT's show already blended action and comedy very well, it didn't need to be 'enhanced'. All the 'random' humor that came from TTG resulted in cherry picking and exaggerating some of the more eccentric traits of the Titans to the point that it just turned them into annoying caricatures of their previous selves.

Unikitty seems to work on a different level, the right one suited to the team's expertise. It's a show about a unicorn/cat hybrid, and while she already existed in The Lego Movie, everything else was left open to the team's interpretation, giving them more freedom to work. With Unikitty, you don't need to worry about the 'randomness' of the show, because you kind of expect wacky scenarios from a bright pink mythical cat horse.

All in all, I think while TTG wasn't very well received, it did at least serve as a learning experience for the team, in matters of characters, humor, even in the animation. Unikitty works for their brand of story telling and it shows. I hope they continue to grow with Unikitty and make it even better as they go along in the series.

i hope it gets big as ninjago that series grew so much it got its own movie! dispite not following the tv show (which kind of irks me but i understand what happened to that), i see great promises with this and i feel like it will prevail over TTG, and i want more of this too :3 no pandering just good organic jokes and silliness with out it all being forced lol
