A rough portrait of my boyfriend I did last year October for a little practice with black and white. I used Photoshop effects to make the pretty blues and greens, and I got the awesome boarder from google. It suited it so well I had to use it. Credit goes to the mystery artist who made such an amazing boarder design.
With his permission I used a photo of his as reference and challenged myself on combining line-art, cross hatching, soft and rough shading and details to form a perfect portrait. I made sure the eyes were the primary focus as that is one his best traits. As well as 'the eyes are the window to the soul'
Took 3 hours of hard work, thorough concentration, dedication and love to finish this in one sitting. And another hour or so playing with effects later when I had a breather from college in early December last year. This is one of the Artworks I'm most proud of♥
