Ah, Puzzle discuses her day to Diamond, who looks soooooo interested! If you actually read that wall of text, you'll see what happened up to the point of panel three, here. It explains a lot :P
This page was also in colour, but I lost this and page 4's originals and I only have the watermarked versions. Boo. :<
I think the 'cat in the pot' or 'pussy on the stove' joke is almost as popular as my old Fruit Stripe Gum gag pic (ha, there's a pun in there, if you know the pic). Disraeli, as the cat is called (named after an old British PM from the Victorian era...sorry, I'm a history nut), makes further appearances in later comics.
He appears in the 'Interlude' comic, and also will make an appearance in a new comic I'm working on, formerly titled 'That Damn Cat' (take that, Disney!) but was retitled 'Catus Interruptus', a term coined by
BW :P
