This is another old piece of mine...it's a mask I made of Aylee from Sluggy Freelance. If you've never read the comic, it's a free webcomic and it's AMAZING...you should totally check it out!!! xD

Anyway, Aylee is my favorite character...she's an alien who periodically changes form in order to adapt to her environment. In this form, she looks rather like a terrifying, spiky, toothed, eight-foot tall monster....but she believes with all her heart that she looks JUST like a pretty flower. It's really incrediby adorable. This was my homage to her amazingness.

I did it with casting strips, clay, plastic board, acrylic paint, beads, string.....the inside of the mask is actually fitted to my face on the other side so that I can wear it, too, although you can't see it in these pictures.....
