Waking up to a bright clear morning, skies clear, the gentle heat from the early morning sun beaming down.
With no noise to distract, no cars, no radio, just the occasional chirp of a bird filled the peaceful air.
With a small crinkle, she pried open the pre-ground bag of coffee she prepared the night before, taking a moment to breath in a quick breath, throat rumbling with delight at the scent of the light roast. It was almost as wonderful as the drink it made! Scoop in hand, she dug into the grind, taking just a small measure of it out, enough for a single serving. With a single light tap, she evened it off and tipped it into the waiting glass pitcher. As if on queue, the heater next to her space on the counter beeped and it quickly settled down as steam rose up from inside. Another hum emanated from her muzzle as her hand reached over, lifting and tilting the heated water straight into her pitcher.
It was just a few minutes wait, her eyes casting off to the side and out the window before the coffee was just dark enough for her preference. Pressing the filter down to remove the grains, she slides a cup over and happily pours herself the first drink of the day, the scent of a lightly roasted blend filling the air. The snap of a lid and the gentle pad of paws soon followed after as she turned to step out of the kitchen, tail and hair flowing behind her. It was the weekend, she had plenty of time..now what should she do? Well..of course she knew what she was planning on doing, she had already thought of it yesterday. Stepping up to the bookcase, an outstretched finger pressed itself into the binding of one of several well read books, wiping down its spine before moving onto the next one.
