A story I wrote for a contest a long time ago. All the stories had to use a picture of a woman holding a glowing chalice while two red eyes peered at her from the darkness as a base for the setting. Rather then attempt to do something serious I opted for the humor approach. It gets a little rushed at the end due to word limits but it still amuses me to this day.
