DA Description:
This is my character, Greg's, home town. It's not the most wealthy place, but hey, it's something. Being reptiles, Greg and his older brother Kharaba don't exactly have the best reputation around town, and unfortunately they can't afford to live somewhere else.

This is very different from things I usually do. It's mostly focused on the background elements other than characters. I didn't even sketch Greg into the picture until everything else was done. It was fun to make everything look kinda old and run down though. Lot's of very dim colors. The toughest part was definitely the car. I don't really draw cars much so getting the shape right was a challenge to me. I think it came out pretty alright though. I also had trouble figuring out what to do with the windows, so I decided to just make them dark and almost dirty looking. I put stuff behind the ones for the Food Mart building and the Laundromat, but not the others. I know the sidewalk perspective looks weird and I tried fixing it a bunch of times but it just wanted to be a butt so I left it at the best I could get it.

This has been in production for weeks now. I started it on Thanksgiving and then kinda left it alone again til just after Christmas and now it's done :). I figured I'd sorta have a drawing schedule. I'll post an original picture like this one, then a new The Days Go On chapter, and then a piece of video game fan art. So after this will be the next chapter of The Days Go On. I might not stick to this schedule 100% all the time but it will be generally what to expect next from me. I'll probably post a status update if it's gonna be any different. I wanna have this planned out cause I like to have multiple things in production at one time. The Days Go On pictures are usually drawn after the chapter is finished being written, but I'd like to have the next of fan art or original pic at least sketched while I'm working on the other one. I've also got a project in Blender I'm working on, so that's fun too. That likely won't be done for a while, so don't expect it anytime soon. Still learning how to use Blender and what not.
