Still playing with my kiddie markers - figured I'd better get practice in. Also playing with the idea of an oversized bookmark. The sun thingie at the top was gonna be where the hole goes for the tassel. I'm concerned that the coloured pencil will rub off on the book, so I'll take this puppy into the printer, shrink it down a wee bit and laminate the copy instead.
In any case, a bit of gift art for somebody who likely knows who he is, being his usual Prince of Pangolins.
I was watching a thing on alchemists so if he looks more magician than princely you can blame the BBC :D

I have this thing about leaves. Where this comes from I don't know, but if you look at my stuff you'll notice that little diamond shaped leafy things seem to pop up a lot.
When I get nervous, I tend to doodle little tiny cartoon 5-petaled flowers. I used to fill up pages of them. Mercifully I don't do that when I draw "for serious".
