Took a crack at updating J’Aime’s design! She's a character from my elder comics project, Trelldain, and a frequent guinea pig when I'm looking to fiddle with things.

Saw a hairstyle I thought would suit her and got some input from Kaz on the matter, reworked her casual wardrobe (the “just a jacket” thing starts raising more and more questions as I do more anatomy work, and I wanted to bring more color variance into things), altered her tone distribution a tad (the hair down to her chest means having her chest be the same color as her hair just read really terribly, honestly), and finally addressed the lingering mega-lashes her eyes had as a remnant of old habits.

I then ran her face through the wringer via the expression sketches, because I never feel like I can quite get the personality of a character through on pass one and wanted to see how that pretty face held up under Typical J Behavior. I think I kept making the side-bang things too long in those but you know practice. practice. etc.
