I toasted the bearings and had to pull the motor. THe bores are still okay. Just in case any of you furries care about cars...

THe crank needs to be magnifluxed I hope it is still good. 401 cranks are hard to come by.
They were forged from the factory so they are rairly repopped.

Crank is still good. Had to take it down to .20.

I think it will be okay. I have the morot apart. THe rod bearings are looking okay. THe bores are looking good pistons look good. Hopefully a polish on the crank and I will be back to burnouts in no time.

THanks. Ya the pistons are still good they are forged aluminum 30 over and I would hate to have to replace them. THe bores look good too. I ran my fingernail over them and they are smooth.

yeah at 30 over isnt much left in the walls for further boring out still since you have it apart check the bore might as well put new rings in as you nearly have to take them out (pistons) might as well pop new ones in (rings)
