I thought I draw Kate and Kurt's boss,
Lieutenant James "Jimmy D." Douglas, he was inspired heavily by hard boiled police officers from action cop movies I grew up on.
Most defiantly Inspector "Dirty Harry" Callahan and Max Payne. My Uncle Jason also inspired him too.
Jimmy served in the US Marines until his late 20's where he joined the police academy
where he worked at the LAPD until he got married and transferred to Phoenix Police Department here in Arizona, and in a short time became the Lieutenant detective/investigator.
He's a Hell of a Good cop too, and a "Shoot first ask questions later" kind of guy.
He carries two handguns too.
a Springfield M1911 .45 Automatic from his Military days
and his trusty Smith & Wesson Model 28 .357 Magnum Revolver.
