From left to right, Kermit, Strawberry, and Senna, 3 cats from the homeless cat colony. Kermit and Senna are both males and Strawberry is female. I am hoping to adopt Kermit.

I'm not sure if you read my submission information but I am feeding them every night and am working to get them all spayed and neutered so they will not continue to breed as they run on baser instincts. I am also going to adopt one if he is clean of viruses that will not harm or put my other 3 indoor cats at risk. There is no reason why I should not help these homeless cats. It is the same as helping humans in poverty. I am aware they are already becoming depended on me which is what I have intended to socialize them. Please understand that there is also no reason why I would not help them. I have the means currently to and will continue to help them I will not just simply abandon them =). I appreciate your concern though
Good for you! I, too, have a stray cat colony living on my porch. So far I've been able to find homes for 2 of them. I would take them all in so they could live in a warm house until I can adopt them all out, but the 2 cats I have indoors do not get along with other cats. So they are forced to continue living out in the near zero temperatures until something better comes along.
It sucks, but at least you're helping!

That's so sweet of you to help those poor cats! What I have found with new cats is if you separate them in another room for a couple of days and let the other cats "explore" them from beneath the door through the crack, eventually you can let them out and they might fight a little bit, but they will eventually calm down. It also helps if all the cats are fixed, which the SPCA offers free spay and neuter programs for stray cats, but only if they are going to be returned to the stray colony. I suggest if you do take them in, don‘t let the SPCA run any tests on them, just ask for the spay/neuter program. I know they do it for free once a month here where I live, not sure what they would do there. I do know that some vets are really super nice about giving discounts for stray cats, so you might have some luck with that too with your local vets.
Thanks for having a big heart :).
