Princess of the Wilds [OC: Serena]
I really should draw my other OCs more, especially
this one-she has a lot of forms and this is one of my favourites.
This is my OC: Serena who I have only drawn once in another form
as more of a concept piece Serena (Egyptian Form) and it isn't as accurate
as I would like it to be. I still like it though~
This 'form' of her's is featured in two stories which parallel each other; one is strictly a historical fiction and the other
is a historical fiction with a touch of fantasy as it brings in the supernatural. They were made at the same time to see
which would play out better and I found they ended up able to stand on their own which is cool too <3
However in the story with the supernatural she hasn't been as fleshed out yet as a character which is
quite the opposite in the other.
Serena's history is rather vague, leaving a lot to be discovered for the other characters, people have made out that
she has siblings (Brothers) and assumed she is a chief's daughter but cannot be sure of this. Her personality is what
makes her stand out immensely to others, as she switches between two extremes which don't always match up. This
is first pointed out when she meets one of the other characters and is descried as welcoming and sweet with a
childish-playfulness-then they later hear how she was in war which, just hearing she went to war threw them off.
One of her peers described her as the true Gemini-and this is one of her greatest assets but a sad downfall as well.
Serena's character is essentially, though, is supposed to test people's view on right and wrong and it is also the
personal arc she goes through in the story. Despite the fact (for now) she plays more on the side, her actions impact
the story in big ways.
Her extreme methods of retaliation to the horrors done to the less fortunate earned her quite the reputation and the actions
alone became infamous. Yet on the same note her actions also earned her a more treasured reputation as she
has saved countless people. She is respected and loved, but also feared...
I plan to do more on her, and definitely illustrate some pictures where she can be depicted as she is within the first opening scene. I think
they would be cool, and putting it side by side with the peaceful one here would help show the day and night differences she has in herself.
Anyways, I hope you like her <3

Some More Backstory[with spoilers~]
In the strict historical fantasy, Serena is featured as a beautiful but very enigmatic young woman who
seems out of place amongst the European Foreigners who have come over to America.
This isn't because of what she looks like in the picture above, in fact the first time she is mentioned in the story
she is seen dressing as they do (a bit of a taboo take on their outfits, as she makes her own). It is because of her actions
and way of speaking which confuses the people more than anything, for although she is seemingly living amongst them-
she doesn't adhere to their ways of living or care for their expectations, which we quickly find out why.
Serena is mentioned in the story to be dual personalited by peers as well as her acquaintances, and gifted in mental manipulation-
which is said as a subtle warning to those who asked. Highly driven and being an 'aloof extrovert', people often have a hard time to
decipher her intentions-and be it she is indeed split in character it only makes it harder. All of this comes into play during the
first big scene with her.
Despite coming off as a tad sweet to the foreigners, she remains dedicated to an unseen goal leaving her ever so perplexing to the
people as she weaves her way through their society; yet it becomes apparent to them she is interested in the slave trade or rather the
auctions in their town more importantly. This puts them off somewhat as it didn't match up to her uplifted attitude and almost innocent
curiosity she seemed to have. Never the less, it is on the auction day everything changes and she reveals whom she truly is to the people.
Without warning, Serena suddenly turns the tables and kills the auctioneers before holding the buyers hostage as she reveals she has
set up a trap. She sets the slaves free of their chains as her people move in and begin their own 'auction' deciding who they want to kill, how,
and why. At Serena's call they lash out like a wolf pack-tearing into the towns-people, torturing them viciously, and spread out across their small
towns slaughtering everyone they find so they do not spread. Serena takes part, but mostly oversees the others-aside from making examples out
of those she had already hand picked during her time amongst the people. Later on, she mentions how she spends so long in the towns to take the
time to run off anyone she doesn't think should die-as she is confronted many times in the story about her actions.
After the gruesome massacre, Serena goes back to the wilds to live as she normally would-guiding the freed slaves to sanctuary lands
where they will be free. Once this is done, she goes back out to repeat the cycle time and time again.
This concludes the summery of her opening scene~
I plan to do more on her, and definitely illustrate some pictures where she can be depicted as she is within the first opening scene. I think
they would be cool, and putting it side by side with the peaceful one here would help show the day and night differences she has in herself.
Anyways, I hope you like her <3
