Ahem, nerdy fast facts. According to the papers I have in my hand, humans do generate their own heat. And cats do, and dogs, and every other mammal and bird. While it's true that bird's body temperature is 1-3 °C higher than that of a human, it won't make a difference nor would it support the words of the spirit.
