Figured that since I had an mlp version of Cream made, I might as well get him a friend. Yes btw, I do believe that his tail IS smiling. Here's a bio to explain why:

Name: Ricardo the Rat
Alias: None
Age: Late Twenties

Story: Even when he was a little tyke, Ricardo had a knack for stealing things. For obvious reasons, this got him set up with the wrong people at a young age, leading to his eventual lifestyle as a fake art seller.

In time however, karma caught up with Ricardo. After a scam gone wrong, Ricardo was confronted by a zebra witch, who attempted to kill him with a curse she had recently learned, not understanding what the curse would do. Instead of killing him, the magic brought Ricardo's tail to life, giving it a mouth, as well as an assortment of strange abilities.

Ricardo's tail, eventually named Sammy the Singing Tail, is capable of replicating songs he's heard, from using its mouth to replicate the singing, to moving its tail in certain ways to replicate the sound of instruments. Sammy is also capable of stretching itself to great distances, something Ricardo has found very useful.

With a talking tail, scams immediately went south for the rat, prompting him to skip town to find a new home. He'd eventually find it on the shoulder of a wandering unlicensed doctor, who's been his best friend ever since.
