Kike: I- I'm not sure...
After weeks spent in my folder, this WIP finally got completed. U_U Sorry for my inactivity I have much to deal with this term (teachers are killing us with homework) but I'll try to post at least two other drawings before May comes, including W-a-n-d-a's YCH as I'm almost done with it...
About the pic now:
It depicts my fan OC Kike, who is supposed to be Kovu and Kiara's daughter.
I wanted to practice face angles and TLK's lion artstyle so I decided to use Kike as my guinea pig for this project since I hadn't drawn her in a while~ I'm fond of this character even if I haven't finished developping her yet.
Hum... I couldn't find any proper reference for the pose and I hate inaccuracy so I'm sorry if the anatomy is not perfect... I did my best with the knowledge I have about anatomy...and I obviously need to practice more. <_<"
I'm rather happy with how the background turned out considering that I have redone the rocky steps at least 10 times before getting something somewhat correct. I kept painting lines which made the rock look roundy while it was supposed to be flat (but still natural to a certain extent)! I thought I'd need to use a grid but didn't in the end, and that's good.
Also I forgot to add a (subtle) yellow filter to make it look more like it's taken from a TLK movie but whatever, I think the colors already pop a little too much. e_e"
... I want to say "no critiques please" since it has been a big struggle to get things that way but at the same time I went out of my comfort zone so as to improve so if you want to help, feel free!
Regarding the story behind this scene: there's none this time. I usually enjoy giving my still drawings a lively story but this pic was just made so as to practice so I have no clear idea what's going on here. I suppose she's going to some official meeting/presentation but is scared to mix with lions from the high society or many she's just afraid to face a crowd or may she also be unsure or nervous about trying something new which would be challenging somehow?
If you have any idea about what's going on then tell me!! xD I'd like to hear the interpretation you make of it! ;D Let your creativity sparkle!
