It was a reference to the comic I made a year ago where Rina fights with an Arcanine bully in the school hallway. The same Slowpoke can be seen observing in the background, so the joke would be that he is only reacting to it now. I have yet to finish that comic despite it being over a year, so that's where the hesitance to start giving it attention again comes in. I am not very good when it comes to multi-paged comics.
Ah! Interesting. Would had been a quite a reference though, I say. I kind of have a chuckle at the thought of him now reacting to that. Hmm, I see where you come from there. What makes you say that part? Just the extended time, being drawn out? I seem to liked every sequence related work you've done thus far.
I agree that her design is especially appealing, and can offer some observations as to why this might be.
-Ears are broader, shorter than the norm, and laid back, giving a more natural appearance.
-Jaw ends in an angular tuft, rather than being rounded. This feature in particular evokes a much stronger resemblance to Renamon, whose base character design is quite similar and similarly excellent as well.
-Eyes seem to be naturally narrowed and are colored orange, which is complimentary to blue.
-Piercings, leather jacket, and tattooed spike work well with the natural dreadlocks and clearly communicate information about her character.
-Crossed arms, relaxed posture, leg position, and both expressions of nonchalant boredom and the amused smirk also fit well together and communicate more about her character.
In short, her physical features make her appear more like a fox than the mythological figure of Anubis Lucario's design was based on. She also has a lot in common with the design of a good supercar: angular without being sharp, curvilinear lines, a general shape that flows/points in one direction, and um... "rounded" in just the right places.
That concludes my unsolicited over-analysis.
