Very nice outline there, though the turret placement is very odd to me.
The turrets on the bow in particular are being blocked by the projections on it, and the angle of the mounts don't seem steep enough to provide forward coverage. The small turrets at the aft are also mounted in poor positions, being too close to the center and not mounted on the available projections that the ship has.
What this layout does remind of, though, is early ironclad ships with the gun ports and turrets on the same ship! It would be cool to hear of some of the history of this ship, as it feels heavily retrofitted.

But this will come along nicely! Your suspicions of it being retrofitted as a note are 100% on the dot, cant manage a full volley of the energy cannons without straining the core

Both are only sketch's. I can't think of a color and I doubt both will actually get past this stage but, these are ma spaceships.
