I could have sworn I'd posted this before, but I can't find it in my gallery, so apparently not...
Anyhow, this commission is from
rjbartrop from back in 2013. The two characters here are from a cyberpunk story I've been writing off and on since years before that, and which is almost done now, working on the climactic chapter where, in true cyberpunk fashion, everything goes rather badly, and the employer has, naturally, been running his own game.
I created the characters using parts of the Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0 background, which actually had the ability to give yourself an animal-like form if you were willing to spend the required money on it. (The rules for it were in Chromebook 2.) So the world was mostly baseline humans, but just as people who could afford it got cybernetic implants, some people went for a more biological route to make themselves stand out.
The tigress on the left is Huntress. In Cyberpunk terms, she's a 'solo': basically an armed mercenary with combat-heavy enhancements. She went sort of the commando approach, enough stealth to get into places, enough strength to be able to smash out of places once the stealth failed, and more of a head for strategy than people might expect looking at her. The sort of person you hire when you want to do a lot of fairly controlled damage.
The mouse on the right is Deedee, which in her case actually stands for 'disposable deck'. She's primarily a Netrunner, but a little more tech-heavy than many Netrunners, and tended to customize her equipment. One of her tricks involved having a bunch of disposable and swappable components available so that the signature of the equipment she was using was just a little different every time, which made her harder to trace.
The sign behind them is for the Reverend Morganson, their primary employer over the course of the story, a street preacher and rabble-rouser with some of his own reasons for what he does, and a very large target on his back from a lot of the local corporations who consider him a threat to their bottom lines. It's amazing he's lasted as long as he has. Of course, the secrets he has are going to blow up in everybody's faces...

Yeah. Once I finish the story, I should post parts of it. Probably the middle part where I realized partway through plotting that 'Hang on a moment, this is turning into a heist movie' and I promptly added another few characters with their own motivations and conflicts and just ran with it.
