So it's task two ref sheet! There's alot here but trust me i had to weed through all the information i had on both CAL-1B and Balthazar/The Divine. Also since i eventuality plan on creating a book series with this character in it i don't want to spoil to much that occurs whithin CAL's story arc.
The Relationship
The bond between a Divine and a host-form is a special one. For those who didn't read about the Divine on my guess who picture let me give you a quick run through.
The Divine were originally beings of pure thought energy. They exist on a planet known as Heavena which exists in a pocket dimension outside the universe of my furry world (Earth 28). The Divine figured they weren't the only beings in the universe so they took to the stars. Unfortunately their real bodies couldn't exist outside of their pocket dimension for very long, they required bodies of substance to survive on their journey. Eventually they came across Earth (28) in the Sol 3 sector of the Nova Galaxy (The Milky Way). There they met what you humans would refer to as prehistoric furries (since humans never evolved on this version of Earth) any way. The Divine and the First race, as the Divine referred to them, came to an agreement. The First race would provide willing host-forms in return for the Divine's help with developing proper farming and building equipment to advance their race. (This is why both Balthazar and Mirra are Saber-toothed Dire Wolves standing at around 6 and a half feet tall.)
So yeah basically the simple version is the Divine requested host-forms in trade to help the First race develop further as a species. The only way for a Divine to bond with a host-form is for both parties to be in agreement. Then the Divine enters into the host via the eyes, mouth, and ears. The two minds become one of conscious thought and share in a symbiotic relationship. The Divine get to live outside of their world and experience the stimulus of the host, the host receives the knowledge and inspiration of the Divine. Both minds have to agree with the actions of the other or else the body will not function. It took some getting used to but the Divine were patient and willing to help with the new bonding. The connection and action of the Divine and host-form is now almost instantaneous and completely natural. However Divine outlive their host-form and required new boidies every a hundred years or so.
During their time on Earth the Divine realised that the First race produce sexually (ulike the Divine who simply were spontaneously created). This realisation ment the Divine could produce their own host-forms. They asked the first race if they could take some hosts with them back to their home world, the first race agreed. The aliens took the volunteered hosts back to Heavena and began pairing up Divine to produce the best offspring for future bonding, since the Divine consciousness vastly outlives the host-form. They would raise the offspring till they reached the age of sexual maturity of 18 (which is what provided a safe and secure bond between Divine and host). They would then cryogenically freeze the host's till they were needed for future bonding. Well that's the basics if you have any further questions about the relationship aspect of the Divine and host just ask in the comments or note me.
CAL-1B and Balthazar
CAL-1B was created as the perfect lifeform. The need for him was due to Balthazar being critically wounded after his battle with a rouge Divine causing trouble on Earth. CAL-1B was created by the means of taking the reproduction DNA from Iven (https://iven-furrpaw.deviantart.com/art/The-Defence-659903295) and Aroura (https://iven-furrpaw.deviantart.com/art/The-Assassin-659720083) (whom were the closest in species and the most compatible). The muscle DNA from Alonso (no image) (from where he obtained the Conover DNA), the agility DNA traits from Vira (https://iven-furrpaw.deviantart.com/art/The-Pilot-659171577), and the brain DNA from Mirra (Female Divine) to allow for him to carry a Divine. The first combination (CAL-1A) had failed to produce a stable lifeform that didn't even survive the fetus stage of birth.
They tried again (CAL-1B) and was successful in creating a living lifeform. When the accelerated growth process had ended what was produced however; was not in fact a full grown specimen as they had previously planned. Instead, the lifeform's body was only about 16 years of age, still several years away from sexual maturity. They determined that they simply couldn't kill the new living creature they had produced. While the new born child had the intellect of one 10 times over his age, This lack of SM ment his young body was not able to contain Balthazar for him to continue to safely use his body. CAL-1B did last long enough to get Balthazar back home to Heavena to obtain his spare cryo-frozen body.
Once Balthazar was safely transmitted to his new host-form, the severely damaged but not dead CAL-1B returned to Earth in search of a new intended purpose to fulfill. Once on Earth he rejoined VULPINE to seek said new purpose. Not knowing what do with incredibly smart but young child they simply began to teach him in the ways of a normal fur. CAL-1B eventually took on the name Calib (Cal1b) and began to grow attached to his new VULPINE family, specifically Iven (his creator and main male doner) and Aroura (the main female donor). He recognised them as his father and mother, though he was fully aware he wasn't created in the traditional manner. This is where we will be picking up on CAL-1B’s story, what will follow will be the events he has experienced as a student learning about the world of Earth 28.
