Flat Colour/Sketchy : Brothers (Qebehsenuef & Duamutef)
Little known fact in the furry fandom - I'm a massive Egyptophile :)
I love this pair XD Qebehsenuef (he who libates his siblings) & Duamutef (he who protects his mother) - Two of the Sons of Horus. To 'libate' is to pour water or alcohol over... a religeous performance like a bathing... so this happened XD A little for-fun doodle while I was training up my hand muscles.
The symbols on their skirts are their names, because I'm a giant nerd.... So yeah, they're wearing namebadges. Maybe it's "Bring your Scion to Iteru" Day XD
Disclaimer : Please please do not launch an outrage about whitewashing. Some Ancient Egyptians were black, but they were not the majority. They were, largely, a skintone and race unto themselves - several genuinely black famous Egyptians (E.g. Queen Tiye) are faithfully represented in sculpture and carvings according to their skintone and race. The fact that many of the Gods & Pharoahs are represented as being of a lighter skintone is not due to a lack of imagination, or lack of pigment, or Victorian propaganda, it's because they *were*. Personally, the recent trend to declare all Ancient Egyptians as black deeply saddens me, as no matter how well-intentioned, it is a genuine attempt to *erase* an entire race, dressed up as a noble cause. If you'd like to discuss this further, and exchange source material, I would be happy to via Note but please, no flamewars in the comments :) Thanks !

Never really looked into it, but Northern Egypt having the the light olive Mediterranean look would no surprise me. Trade (goods and genetics! giggity) with cultures such as the Hellenic kingdoms or Persians would definately go a ways there... just because it was that continent would not force a skin tone. Geeze that kind of assumption is about as racist as anything else.
All in all... people are people.
Oh and that's a clean jackal guy.

Actually, Egyptians were purple, but lacked purple pigments to depict themselves thusly. This is why Moses was able to so effectlvely leverage his one-eyed one-horned flying purple-people-eater, who was later cut out of the story and most of his deeds attributed to the Yaweh character.
