Had a session where my group went into town finally after Tamari died.
Our wizard, Caloris, was taking her death a little hard.
It's actually really effing emotional considering how he usually acts.

Caloris used his Teleportation spell for the day to leave the others behind. In that time, he walked up to the bar that held so many memories. The Hagfish Tavern. When he entered, memories flooded back of him and his partner in crime. He wasted no time walking to the bar and was soon greeted by his good acquaintance, the bartender.
"Ah, glad to see you're back again! My favorite patron! Where is your lady friend, the determined one?" The bartender cackled while patting Caloris on the shoulder. Just the very brief mention of Tamari stabbed his heart, the one who always was determine to take the Drinking Challenge until she won. Tamari and his last visit at the Hagfish, she succeeded and became honored. He almost didn't want to look up at the wall where her name had been etched along those who succeeded at the challenge. Another hard stab took his breath away as he held up 2 fingers to the bartender, ignoring the hearty man's question.
"2 drinks for the Challenge."
The bartender laughed loudly and clapped his hands together before walking to get the 2 drinks. Caloris drowned out the sounds all around him and flexed his hands into fists several times. His whole body seemed numb with the hard realization that Tamari had left for good. His partner, his friend, no more shenanigans, no more annoying rogue to watch over him. The clunk of the large glasses put in front of him briefly snapped him out of his stupor.
"That will be 2 silver pieces buddy!" The bartender announced, in which Caloris threw him a single gold piece while muttering keep the change. When the bartender thanked him and walked away, Caloris stared at the glasses for what seemed like an eternity. Grabbing onto both of the mugs, he held one tightly while throwing back the other, for once relishing in the bitter, acid like burn of the drink. Usually, his stomach lurched and wretched at the first sip of the challenging drink. With no hesitation, he downed the whole mug and everyone who had been watching cheered loudly. As the bartender went and started to etch his name on the wall, Caloris took the other drink and poured it onto the floor slowly next to an empty seat on his left. When he looked up to see his name sitting comfortably right next to Tamari's name, he silently choked back a sob and kept ordering drinks until his body became numb.
