I love Swedish fighter jets, my favorite is the Gripen, but it's neat that Swedish fighters have this capability to take off of roads with a long enough stretch. The turn around time on these aircraft with a seasoned maintenance crew usually gets them back in the air in 10-15 minutes at most if I remember correctly.
I agree, most modern Swedish weaponry was often built towards defense, and the Swedish fighters were good for that. Heck even their own tanks, like the S-tank which looks a lot like a modern StuG IIIG, is for defense(though from what I've read it was retired like two decades ago). But yeah Swedish weaponry is pretty cool.
Hey! When I was in College I was impressed with the illustrations done by a student who used round watercolor brushes and architect watercolors to paint detailed images of automobiles and what impressed me the most was how he would render those sharp, mechanical edges.
