The first transformation story I ever read was "Circe's Funhouse" by Bob Stien in April of 2004. I had never heard of transformation fiction before, much less figured there could be an entire community interested in it. It caught me off guard to say the least.
Attempting to find that story lead me to the website of the same name by
comus. That website was the first to show me a variety of transformations and to actually get me curious as to what kind of stories could be told with them.
Last year Circe's Funhouse the site went down. I have no idea if permanent or not, but it got me thinking. I'd actually wanted to write a story celebrating my introduction to transformation for some time now. And with the site down I decided to finally knuckle down and write it.
This story is meant to be a loving tribute to Bob Stien's original work, Mr. Comus' original site and all those who participated in it. I mean no offence to any of you. I wanted to create a story about animals I like, with references to stories or sequences I found memorable.
My version of Circe's Funhouse is in part based on a real place, Action Park in New Jersey. A magical park that transformed people as well, except instead of turning people into animals it turned them into corpses. Still it was transformative.

And a special thanks to
born2beagator for posting this for me. He is a donkey among men and someone I am glad to know.
