Watercolor and gouache pet portrait on 11″ X 14″ Arches 300lb cold press watercolor paper! This one was quite the adventure, I haven’t painted traditionally this large in quite some time. I’ve recently acquired some new brushes and pigments that made creating this feel so comfortable. I also got to break out my biggest watercolor brush for big color washes, which is so satisfying to do!

I'm so happy to have pushed you out of your usual traditional comfort zone. I hope it'll start an entire new adventure for you because the world needs more gouache and watercolor ♡ There are so many adorable little details. All in all you did beautifully and captured Punkin to a T!
