We had a rely big lightning storm last night and this was the result. This was a rely big old tree in front of my neighbors house (you can't see my house, it's the next one on the left). During the storm last night it got hit by lightning and came down. Luckily it didn't hit any of the houses cause it was huge tree and would have done some pretty bad damage, it did take out the hydro though.
I was inside when it happened and is damn loud.
The scary part is that my dad was out side coming back from the store when it happened. he was standing literally only 20 feet away when the tree got hit and to tore down the power lines!

the power outage was less than fun, and I'm sure the neighbors will be rely upset when they get home to find out that the tree pulled the stack (I think that's what it's called, the connection from the power lines to the house) from their house. but it was kind of entertaining as what seemed like everyone who lives on the street came down to see what happened.
