Never did care for scythe's. They may be symbolic, but they are entirely to unwieldy.

entirely cliche and for reason. A nice sword is a very usefull weapon.

But thye are so fun and have a wounderfully wide range of attack. Its why I prefer them, Though I do love swords myself, so I knwo what you mean, a sword is a persicion weapon where a scythe is a AOE

For having such a wide range, it has such a small kill zone. Plus, they can't be thrown easily.

WEll, they are really only good for short range throws. Anything more, and it doens treally work, but if you throw it, you can't block it ;) I'm rather skilled in scythes RL and chose it for any battle RP's I have. Yeah, a scythes greatest weakness and strength is its momentum.

I'm good with anything that can be thrown and swung in RL. I can throw knives with pretty good accuracy. Well... I truly haven't practiced in a while. I've got a nice little hand scythe that is easier to use. And I have knives in various places. But a good knife is more than just an easily concealed wepean. Though I have trained with wooden swords, I really wouldn't want to try anything more than a short thin lightwieght assassin's blade. I have the skill with swords but no strength for anything larger. Another thing that does in a scythe is that smaller area of blade it has. For a larger longer range melee weapon, a good extended blade, long handle ax is the real thing. Plenty of blade to hit. It is heavier and more unwieldy but takes aim totally out of the question.
