Here we have the USSR "Thunder" (Гром) Air Superiority Fighter.
Lighter and more agile, the Thunder provides close air cover to bomber wings, capital ships and installations.
(#1) Gauss Cannons.
The Thunder has a pair of fighter-optimized gauss cannons. These feature a dedicated cooling systems, as well as a linked fire control system, aiding the pilot in tracking targets through incredible maneuvers.
(#2) Sabre Missiles.
The Main armament of the Thunder is a compliment of Sixteen Sabre Air-to-Everything Missiles. It features eight seperate launch tubes, pre loaded with two rounds a peice that are linked to the same advanced visual control system as that of the Lightning, allowing incredible multi-target tracking.

(#4) Thrust Nozzle.
Identical powerplant to the Lightning, the Thunder features an Identical engine, with an enhanced thrust nozzle, allowing for even greater maneuverability with the same massive power of the Lightning.
Given that the Thunder is 50% Lighter than the Lightning, it is capable of massivley high speeds and capable of pulling even more incredible maneuvers, It's structure supported by it's ceramo-ferric plating.
(#5) Landing Gear.
Giving up VTOL capabilities for incredible flight performance, it has to rely on wheeled landing gear slung under the wings in aerodynamic pods.
(#6) Sensor Suite.
The forward sensors and tracking systems were optimized for frontal assaults in air-to-air confrontations. This extra tracking system allows the Thunder to track fast moving fighters and even missiles with all weapons, and all systems work in tandem to provide multi-level failsafes and an infallible targetting matrix to ensure target eradication.
