At some point the road on the right replaced the one on the left, which is very fortunate in this case as its left the village of Red Mill intact. Red Mill, once a small rural mill village, is no longer a town or even village in the legal sense. The name is merely a place name today, and what's left of the village is mostly unnoticed by the people who drive by here every day.
