A lot of work to do these days. Very often my motivation is music. To me, doing some art means playing some good music, too. And I listened to the very old Kraftwerk sounds again. These three picture discs are from late 1990s and of course not official pressings. The original albums were released 1970, 1971 and 1973. But these picture discs here are an eye-catching event!
I should do more music-related furry art.

I remember the first time I heard Kraftwerk. It was while I was in college. Their music was playing in an electronics store. I liked it enough to ask what was playing and bought my first Kraftwerk LP that same day. The album was Man-Machine, and I believe it was around 1980, give or take a year. They are still among my favorites. :)
I never realized they were around as early as 1970.

Maybe because the international success started with 'Autobahn' in 1974. They even did an album before Kraftwerk - 'Tone Float' by Organisation, released in the UK in 1970. Since the early 80s, all releases before 'Autobahn' became scarce. Until today they didn't decide about a re-release. Maybe this will never happen.
Would be a pity. The music is strange but interesting.

I have quite a bit of their stuff. I just did a search of my collection for Kraftwerk, and came up with this.
- Autobahn
- Computerworld
- Concert Classics
- Electric Cafe
- Expo2000
- Kraftwerk 1
- Kraftwerk 2
- Organisation ~ Tone Float
- Radio-Activity
- Ralf & Florian
- Showroom Dummies (CD Single)
- Techno Pop
- The Man Machine
- The Mix (English version)
- The Robots
- Tour de France 2003
- Trans-Europe Express
- Trans-Europe Express (CD Single)
- Ultra Rare Trax Vol 1
These are mostly .mp3 files recorded at 192k. I also have two LPs and one CD. Most of their stuff is not very easy to find in the US. Thanks to the Usenet, I can find what will probably never be available to buy. I wonder how much of their stuff I am still missing. I like strange and interesting.

Discogs (www.discogs.com) is quite a good archive of music where you also find many Kraftwerk releases. It's a big database and mostly serious. A big help if you look for information about a release.
My own collection is... uh... I only can guess. About 30 singles, 25 maxi singles, a lot of albums (also some best of collections), bootlegs and dozens of CDs. Far too much!
