Oh dear. Pay attention to your surroundings! Abandoned libraries have all sorts of hiding spots for some unknown creatures to lurk in. Onyx got so engrossed in a book (along with Akari) that he didn't notice a scaly tail/tentacle hovering over his shoulder. Luckily, it doesn't seem to be doing anything threatening and looks more interested in seeing what Onyx is reading as well. That, or it's going to tap his shoulder and disappear when he looks.
