Still some dust— achoo! From my art morgue—
Cupid and Psyche are back – and naked – for Valentines 2008. They've pretty much returned to their Greco-Roman roots by now, which is why Psyche wears butterfly wings. The Greeks personified the soul as having such wings. I chose the wings of a Mediterranean relative of the Monarch butterfly, the Plain Tiger (Danaus chrysippus), because of their vibrant color.
