This is the last of my school related work I'll post.
This was again for a music fundamentals teaching course for k - 6th grade.
The purpose of this was to connect the visual to the aural, audio and visual. We were given the sheet music for a song "River Flows in You" by Yiruma. The assignment was to take any of the shapes from the sheet music and while listening to a sample of the song, draw a picture of the song.
Anyways I'm not going to explain this one out. Hopefully a few of you will understand it.
Here's the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhN7SG-H-3k
Listen to it while looking at the piece and maybe you can see what I was seeing.
This experience is real to me. This is what is beginning to touch upon the edges of real soul shaking art to me. That music moves me deep and I feel very alive listening to it. So if you don't get it, keep your thoughts and comments to yourself please.
