Free to Use Detailed Character Text-Based Ref Template [S...
This was a project I was working on on the down-low, which is creating a totally free to use text-based reference sheet template that allows people to develop highly detailed and in-depth characters way beyond the buzzword personalities, way beyond the one-paragraph summary.
If you use your characters for media like stories, detailed roleplay, comics, movies, etc. and you need to define your character with a high level of detail for reasons like keeping their actions/behavior consistent, then this will help you.
If you want to challenge yourself and/or enhance your creative ability by creating a character (or updating an existing character) by thinking of aspects that you may not have thought of before, then this will help you.
If you, however, create a character for only visual depictions (like drawings, short animations, etc.) where things like personality, backstory, and other non-physical aspects do not really matter, then this willdefinitely probably be overkill for you, and I'd recommend you mosey on elsewhere.
As stated twice so far, and now three times, this is 100% totally free to use for any and everyone. It was designed to be used for anthro characters of any species (including humans and non-biological characters), in addition to "feral" characters (like quadrupeds, wyverns, etc). This reference template can be combined with other references, both visual and text, and you are allowed to add, change, and subtract anything you'd like.
The first section of the text ref is the explanation of each section, which provides some definition and commentary. The blank copy paste version is at the bottom. Due note, this template was designed with the intent of making realistic/believably realistic characters, so be aware that my commentary revolves around that area of development: it is up to you to acknowledge or completely ignore it...because it's your character.
