my luts karis head came in!! SO I HAD TO PRACTICE ON THEM... unfortunately this isnt my best and its really messy but that was kinda fun to not stress on details so much? ;; it was super windy when we were applying the sealant so it scattered and got patchy on the face. so we decided to one shot on one layer and IT WAS HARD.. it has its pros and cons but i think im too messy to try one layer faceups normally haha ;;
but i really like how this one came out regardless!!! it will be staying for a while until i get bored and wanna try again but i put some gloss on the lips, eyes, nose and the tears ;3c

you should definitely do it! if you cant do faceups, you can always commission a reliable person to do them! : D i have a luts head that had a commissioned faceup on it already but its BEAUTIFUL i refuse to wipe him hehe ;w;
but if you can do art, faceups really arent hard! you just need the recommended tools for it and pastels > watercolor pencils > acrylic paints > gloss for the faceup layers as well as spraying 2 coats of sealsant (MSC or we use dullecoat until we get better to use MSC) and then spraying and sealing each layer! doing a one shot layer with only 2 sprays of sealant is pretty intimidating but both things have their pros and cons!

yeah theres a lot of people on instagram and etsy and ebay who offer their services! <3 id like to open up for them when i am more comfortable though! : D
and yeah its kinda scary at first!! but as long as you seal and coat each layer, its like saving your progress. the only thing that wipes the sealant off ive found is magic eraser, but when you wipe a layer off from it, its hard to match back up again, i.e pastels rubbing off and then you cant really put it back, so you need to layer more to hide the mistakes lol ;w; i like using magic eraser to really wipe off any excess anything that mightve smeared on from my fingers or something, but again, its not the best idea to use it on areas you want to keep working on except for a GENTLE dab!
but just google around for bjd faceup tools! youll find recommendations very easily! and i dont mind letting you know what we used if you'd like to know!
no problem! <3
