that's what he'd like you to believe, it's always like that in these stories (or movies).

then in the end it turns out there really is a killer in the house, and like... you should run for it at that point.

but if you run into the woods, you die. And if you call the police, he kills you before they get there. Hmmm... I know I know! You find the writer and kill him (or her) with a paperweight or something sharp and pointy. Then you can write yourself a happy ending!

Or i could shoot him in the forehead with a .22.... just a thought..... (Note: my dad was in the Air Force and grew up in a time and place where you took a shotgun o school and kept it in your locker.... Lol)

The sheriff's department are supposed to be the ones with guns.

ah, so can we expect to see the heroine shooting the killer more often then?

Lets hope so... the twist in my story would be.... *Dramatic music* It's not the kill shot... the bullet gets lodged in the killer's brain and that was the last bullet in the gun...

Besides, even when the heroine has a gun, how often does it work? The killer's never dead when you think they are.

This is usually the point where you run for the neighbor's house... if there is a neighbor... you do have neighbors that can save you, right?

And if you called the police, when you leave the house is always the point where the single sheriff's deputy arrives, and while you're all hysterical telling him about the killer in your house... *cue pause* The killer pops up from behind him and gets him.

Either that, or he gets killed when he goes to radio for backup.

But remember! Don't go to a different room before leaving, if you do, his body will be gone when you return! And then if you don't leave immediately, you're pretty much done for.
