At my old job as a horse handler on this mitigation bank, the stablemaster would set out traps with some other guys for the wold boar that were running rampant in the swamp. They put them in a pen and slaughtered one up as often as they felt like it, but it created an odd sort of natural selection...
the stronger ones would just plow right out of the gate, but the weaker ones would stay inside. Hence, the ones on the trails would be big scary mofos.
Also, boar are crazy dangerous. Bob said he's seen them run down calves before. They taste good, though~
