There are only six beads shown because it's part of my overlying "Scroll of the Zodiac" storyline I've put together. 12 Martial Arts masters all possess one of twelve beads. The headbands all come from the dojo where they trained. Following the zodiac there are still six other characters that I hope to get a commission of someday in which case their beads will then be shown.
And yes, the one in the back is Kasako, the Snake.

Ah...It feels *so* good to finally have this. I had considered other artists for the project but as always you rule too much for words. Many have seen this thing develop in stages and one of the things I love most is how each person has their own favorite character. To mean that means you gave each one such a unique style people don't just lump them all together. These are not just pictures, but CHARACTERS each with a story to tell. I can't wait for when I get to commission the other six :333 Thank you!
I was born in the year of the rabbit so I'm happy to see that it made it in this poster. It's got such exquisite detail and color that it is most impressive. Are you going to do a second poster with the other 6 animals in the zodiac, I'm just curious.
Anyway wonderful job, and great attention to all the detail, it's lovely.

Oh sorry, I'm a bit easily confused so saying one word answers when I said multiple things confused me a bit, thank you for explaining. I thought that might have been the answer, just wasn't sure. Anyway can't wait to see the next 6, or 7 if you put the cat into the next one too.
While there are cats as a species in the setting of "Scroll of the Zodiac" I decided to stick with the regular 12. More importantly I wanted to make sure that the actual main characters of the story, Monkey, Rooster, Rabbit, and Dragon, were featured and decided to include two of the key villains as well to give it more of a movie poster feel.
The second poster will mostly consist of characters the heroes meet and the last of the three villains.

Well it's just in certain stories, they say that years divisible by 13 are known as the year of the cat, plus in the Vietnamese zodiac the cat replaces the rabbit from what I've heard so I guess it's all just a matter of taste. And what do you mean by "the setting of"? Is this an actual movie/story/tv show/etc.? Huh, I'm beginning to become intrigued in this poster the more that is explained to me.
If you would kindly share some more details I'd be much obliged, thanks.

"Scroll of the Zodiac" is a game that I've been running for just a little over a year now using the Big Eyes, Small Mouth set of rules. It has probably been my most popular RPG I've run to date, considering that the players have stuck with me for a year. The story is winding to a close, however, and this is my official gift to the players for a good run. The story in a nutshell is that the four characters below are on a quest to unite all 12 members of the zodiac and save the world from a deadly threat. Many of the other members are simply misguided, but some have turned out downright evil.
Yeah, I wanted the main characters and villains to be on the first poster. Both Boar and Dog will eventually be featured, but they were both individuals that the heroes meet in their quest and I wasn't about to hit Pinkuh with a 12 character commission request. That sort of thing can be really hard to draw in anything other than a lineup style poster, which I thought would be boring xP
