Drum roll please…. long awaited and now completed, Tigre Nobles Rapier Illustration. Tadah! This marks the first completed hand drawn traditional media piece for Cafe Corgi Illustrations this year. Woohoo!



- This weapon set is for a fictional character of mine set in my worlds of Sliinkaa. Touted as a relic and set in a museum on Chahnteer, this is the Tigre Nobles Rapier. A family heirloom passed down from father to daughter in the sect of the Golden Cross Crusaders from the Madesto Council Sect. This weapon set is traditional to any crusader of the Golden Cross, who at the early ages of the sect were tasked to find strange, cross shaped antennae that were golden plated that heralded a fallen artifact from the stars. They were to collect and bring them back to the Truth in central Chahnteer were true eternity would be revealed upon completion of these holy quests. Quests ongoing to this present day.



Each rapier was custom designed per families taste, past down to children brought into the sect to carry on the quests. However, historians note that each rapier, regardless of personal aesthetics bear the same repeating symbologies. A sharp cyrstalline cross shape resembling the antennae quested for and the pervasive universal symbol for powering things on and off on computers. Many believe the sects and crusaders mad, insane, other believe an artificial intelligence has been whispering in their ears for centuries. In addition to the rapier, the Crusader is gifted a long knife, a signet ring for sealing messages, and a belt with orders crest as the buckle and a predetermined amount of gold coins that slide upon that belt.



The number of gold coins is believed to be the length of a crusaders expected questing duration as those coins was the entire wealth at disposal for financing costs. Once the coins were gone, the crusader was to return, report, and if unsuccessful in procuring an artifact would be relieved of the blessed position, passing on to heirs if any, and sent to work in menial labor for the councils. Should a family completely fail to yield results within two generations, the family’s name is struck from the holy records and the entire line is cast into servitude, exile or death. -
