Come to Britain! It's been raining all summer and only 1 power cut so far.

Power cuts were always fun with my family. We would get together in the kitchen and light candles and sing songs and tell stories.

oh yeah! I went to Britain in the fall last year. It rained and was cloudy all the time, and it was really cool. It was lovely

Blackouts can be slightly entertaining when my DS, PSP, or laptop are completely charged for the duration of the blackout. Otherwise... I dislike them... Especially when they last more then a day.

we once had one that lasted from 8 PM to 1 PM of the next day Dx it sucked because I didn't had mu DS yet XD

the smell of rain is so good i completly agree but the sound somethimes keeps me awake at night xD

rain is cool, untill you are stuck out in it because you had a flat...twice and its only 1 degree above freezing...then it sucks....but otherwise I love the rain.

...yeah that would suck

had to walk 3 miles down a dirt (mud) road with an umbrella that i lost on the 2nd mile because it was very windy....the kicker...it all changed to snow right after I got to the gas station I called for the tow truck from....very bad day that day...but the snow was very cool the next day as we got about 8 inches over night.

Blackouts are what hand helds and a long laptop battery life with your choice of games and programs, are for....course if those are dead you might contemplate buying a chargeable battery for power outages.....cheaper then a generator and they can run your stuff.

Hope it's a helpful one, any major store or major utilities store, dunno which, would probably hold a good one with a fair amount of hours to store of electricity.

I like watching rain and thunders and all that stuff :D and blackout once in a while is not that bad also. If I can't use any electronic devices, I suddenly discover how many books, comic books and other stuff I happen to own ^^

I love the sounds of falling rain when I am at home son. Hearing it falling is so nice and the sounds of thunder far off is nice too. The Black is not so bad. One should always keep a battery run radio handle so one have music and hear how things are going on in the world. Don't have to be a big one, a nice small one like what I have will more than do. *Hug* I love to be there with you in the dark to happy you past the time with tales and chat.

well now that you put it that way dad, I may handle blackouts that way *snugs*

hehehe me recuerdo en los tiempos de mis 10 años que cuando pasaba eso que se va la luz poniamos un radio con baterias y escuchavamos la radio un programa de cuentos de ultratumba aun recuerdo el nombrede el programa ``cuentos y leyendas de honduras´´

Main reason I wanted a DS and a battery (or whatever is called XP) for my computer. I swear if all you have to do is trim some trees near power lines... IF that's the case one of these days I'll go and do it myself!

Seriously, we are in hurricane season but noe has passed yet, and just RAIN causes blackouts?!?!? SERIOUSLY!

...anyway, I can relate, Sensei. I suggest getting handhelds or mp3 players to deal... and those battery thingies can help, too!

Cuando hubo el gran apagon de los 90's aqui en mi pais (habia luz electrica hasta las 4 de la tarde y la volvian a reponer hasta las 8 o nueve de la noche, eso fue gracias al fenomeno del niño http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crisis.....92_en_Colombia ), nos dedicabamos a charlar y a asustarnos entre nosotros. Jugabamos a que el que adivinase a que hora llegaba la luz.
Ahora me parece que si hay un apagón, hay mas sustos. De todas maneras, suelo dibujar con las velas prendidas en ese caso X3
