The big, red dragon hadn't had a vacation in years. What was the point in going somewhere alone? Reading a book worked just as well on his couch as in a hammock somewhere. Instead, he'd poured himself into his work, only to see company politics ruin what was probably the final years of his career. There would be neither vacations nor wrestling glory for old Emerson.
But he did dream. Glossy eyed, he'd lace his boots in the locker room and be somewhere else. A place where lukewarm water lapped at his calves. Where he'd left his books at home, because there were other things to do. Like splashing water on someone. Or sharing an oversized umbrella drink in that hammock. Or helping out with the suntan lotion. They'd stay up until the fireflies called it a night.
And people wondered how lacing boots could take so much time...

Resondog put two dragons on a beach. KaiDragon has spirited Emerson away. They're having fun. They suntan lotion was sorted out. And they've saved the drink for later, when the fireflies come out. Emerson's going to growl when he wakes from this dream.
