The next member of my Neighpon cast, Umeko Fuma! She's an adopt I actually re-purposed for this and I adore her! She's a tailor/fashion designer who used to serve a lord who was absolute shit. She was married to a ninja, which is odd since ninja are supposed to be covert and keep themselves detached. She and her husband were childhood friends, SUPER good friends, and VERY in love. They married quite young. Her husband served the same lord but also didn’t quite like them. They were both saving up to move out of his lands in secret and make a proper life for themselves. All was going well until during one battle something happened to make it seem as if her husband had given secrets to the event and betrayed them. Despite coming forward with proof he hadn’t, the lord ordered her husband’s execution, saying he’d never have let them actually leave with all her husband knew. Her husband was killed, with her being forced to watch. Then she was exiled. The lord was later killed by another once they found out what he'd done, but Umeko has never been back to her home land. She travels to learn different styles and expand what she can do, and her obi chord was a gift from her husband that she never takes off.
