Eliot (We Have All Become Pokemon and Now We're Fighting)
So I'm involved in this roleplay on TVTropes. The premise is pretty simple, you play yourself (well, ostensibly yourself, you could give your character another personality or origin) transported to a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon-like world. I may post them here later on, but I remember last year, maybe during November, I drew a few pictures of a fighting game with some of the PCs in it, and that got a bit of a buzz stirred around it. Every once in a while, that buzz kinda builds back up, and recently, I'd come into soft ownership of Adobe Photoshop, which while not entirely the smoothest experience I've had with an art program, certainly makes up for it with the number of bells and whistles attached to it.
So this is Eliot, he's the kind of guy who overthinks a thing up until a decision needs to be made at which he just throws all his thoughts away and makes a gut decision, or he tries to prove his worth with plans that just don't lead to any desired outcome. He fashions himself the dad of the group, trying to keep the other PCs on track, but he's more the kid brother who wants a stake in the rest of the goings-on around the group.
In this hypothetical fighting game, I picture him as the kind of fighter who, while not a tank by any means, plays very defensively, with a lot of outs to get him out of a tight situation or at the very least get some distance. Most of his attacks would be relatively close-range, except for Octozooka (a projectile) and Flamethrower (a half-screen long damage stream), and below-average damage-wise, and he'd have a habit of using pure melee attacks more than any capital-M Moves. Instead of typical Supers, he has Sketch (basically, there'd be a mechanic where some of his attacks could throw paint onto the opponent, and with enough paint, he could copy THEIR Super) and Transform (which turns him into additional forms that augment his moves and playstyle, as well as being able to take on the forms of other fighters with Extended Transform though that would be much harder to pull off).
The colors, from left to right, top to bottom:
- Regular
- Shiny
- Rohan Kishibe (specifically his hair and purple shirt from the DIU anime)
- Rossetti (one of the forms he takes, a Salazzle; all of them, including Eliot, are named after 19th century poets)
- Furfrou
- RYB (went with this instead of RGB to fit the paint theme)
- Riolu/Lucario (I would've put the chest-fur color of Lucario on there somewhere, but I didn't think it would look too good, so I went with a vaguely Aura-ish color for the paint color)
- Red (actually a reference to the cover of a King Crimson album, a B&W picture of the band with a splash of red on the title of the album itself)
