hey guys, i'm sorry i took so long to upload this, but finally after a long time i finally have part 2 of christina's story done and finished. the reason why it took so long is because i had it almost completed when i lost the story file and i had to rewrite the whole thing from scratch, but it was worth it. without any further ado here it is.
Episode 3: Christina the steelworks engine part 2
Christina was snoozing happily in her shed when,
(HHHOOOOOOOOONNKKKK)
Christina: AAAHHH!
Frankie: alright sleeping beauty, it’s time to start working.
Christina: oh come on, the sun hasn’t even fully come up yet.
Hurricane went behind her and gave her a gentle nudge.
Hurricane: well, here at the steelworks, we get up really early so we can have steel produced as soon as possible.
Christina: well if you guys say so. Now, where do I start?
Frankie: you can start by getting the flatbeds ready.
Christina: well let’s not just stand around, let’s get moving.
Lexi: now that’s the spirit!
Christina worked hard all morning. She shunted flatbeds in the yard, and later took trucks of slag to the tip. Frankie and hurricane watched as she worked.
Hurricane: good job, Christina. Keep it up.
Frankie: you know hurricane, I think she might be my favorite new engine.
Hurricane: haven’t you said that about every engine we had.
Frankie: I know, but she’s my favorite official, legally owned engine.
Later Christina was shunting some truck, but she wasn’t paying attention.
Hurricane: CHRISTINA, WATCH OUT!
But it was too late. Christina trucks bumped into the other trucks full of molten steel, and they toppled over.
Lexi: WOAH, NELLY! GET BACK EVERYONE, ITS COMIN’ THIS WAY!
Everyone ran away from the pool of steel that was spilling everywhere. Thankfully everyone got out of the way.
Hurricane: you need to be careful around here Christina, that stuff is very, very hot.
Frankie: that molten steel can destroy anything in its path.
Christina: oh no, I’m so sorry.
Hurricane: don’t worry It’s alright, Christina at least no one was hurt or killed.
But Christina did worry. Later that day she was shunting in the yard. Theo and lexi saw that she was unhappy, and they decided to try and consult her.
Lexi: you don’t have to worry about what happened earlier, it was an accident.
Christina: yeah an accident that could have easily killed a lot of people.
Theo: you don’t have to keep destroying yourself over that. I mean, we aren’t exactly flawless ourselves.
Christina: yes, but I’ve never seen you guys do anything wrong. I, on the other hand can’t seem to do anything right.
Theo: nobody gets it right the first time.
Lexi: everybody makes mistakes, or goofs, or gaffs.
Theo: we were put together in a flurry of excitement.
Lexi: and look at us now. The way we’re like, you simply have to laugh.
Lexi: we’re unusual, we’re unique.
Theo: in other words she’s saying that we’re neat.
Lexi: can’t be beat.
Theo: we’re experiments gone well.
Lexi: we were all built really good as you can tell.
Theo: plenty of funnels, and plenty of cogs.
Lexi: every material from iron bars to logs.
Theo: plenty of wheels, gears, and rods.
Lexi: it’s no wonder that we look so odd.
Theo/ lexi: but, what can we do?
What can we do?
What can we do?
Anything it’s true.
Lexi: we’re originals; we’re one of a kind. We’re right-side-up and forward, not behind.
Theo: we’re experiments, gone right.
Lexi: we’ll take on any job with all of our might. We always try and do our best. Thankfully, we always pass the test.
Theo: not make a mess.
Lexi: give us a job; give us a task, whatever it is you’ll be happy that you asked.
Theo/lexi: yes, what can we do?
What can we do?
What can we do?
What can we do?
Anything it’s true.
Merlin: even I can do something.
Christina: merlin?
Merlin: invisibility on!
I’m invisible, of can’t you see, who said that, you ask? It’s only me. You look surprised, but have no fear. It’s just a little trick to make myself, disappear.
Christina: why does he keep doing that?
Lexi: haven’t you noticed his 3 funnels? Well, that was an experiment to make his smoke and steam disperse so you couldn’t see him so easily.
Theo: the builders couldn’t make it work at all. But, merlin found a way to make work. He always finds a way to make thing work.
Theo/lexi: not lumpy or bumpy, we always have the puff. They kept fixing their flaws until enough was enough. Not wobbly, or knobby, we’re forward not reverse. Practice make you perfect, and we always rehearsed. Yes, what can we do?
What can we do?
What can we do?
Anything, that’s true.
Lexi: We can do anything, that’s true.
Theo: we can’t do everything.
Merlin: but, we can try.
We can give anything a try,
We will give everything a try.
All 3: that’s right.
Christina: heh heh, thanks guys. I feel much better now.
Merlin: so remember this, if you ever doubt yourself remember us, alright?
Christina: thanks, I will.
Christina finally had her confidence back, and for the rest of the day she worked without trouble. Later that evening, bob came to the sheds.
Bob: apart from the spill earlier, I’m proud of you Christina. Today was actually a trial to see how well you work, and you passed it. The only thing to do now is for you to decide if you’d like to stay and join our team. So, what do you say?
Christina: oh sir, I’d love to stay and join everyone here.
Bob: that’s what I love to hear. By the way just call me bob.
Hurricane: welcome to the team Christina.
Christina has worked at the steelworks ever since and is now a very proud member of the team.
