Growing Greed (Dragon Growth Audio Commish)
An overdue dragon growth audio, commissioned by TheExpansionist on Deviantart.
This is supposed to be a sequel to the A Dragoness' Precious TF audio I made a few years ago, that was previously commissioned by Agent00Soul on Deviantart (Yes, he said it was okay to do a sequel) -> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12986575/
Here's the script in case it gets extremely difficult to make out what I'm saying. And a bit of an explanation of what's happening:
**The dragoness just finishes storing her jewelry in her secret cave**
"Finally! After so long, I have obtained what I desire most. Yes, *Giggles*".
**Plays with jewelry**
"But you know...I have noticed something...Places that sell jewelry nowadays tend to have the same inventory. Nothing but silver, platinum, white, gold, and rose gold colours. Despite these being absolutely lovely, I feel that it's not enough. I...I need more. Yes~ more, hahaha-hmm?"
**Notices a specific kind of jewel shining**
"What have we here? "
**Jewel shows vision of what the dragoness desires, which are more jewels**
"Is this...? Yes~....Oh, what a lovely sight. All these sparkling colours. I must have those, hahaha."
**Starts growing**
"But where to obtain them?...There?...A far and risky flight, but it will definitely be worth it, heheheheh."
**Grows more**
"Oh, how I can't wait to get my hands on these beauties."
**Grows more**
"They probably taste good, too."
**Grows more**
"Unlike the bland ones I currently have. I can just imagine....The garnets tasting like red wine. The amethysts like grape soda pop."
**Continues growing non-stop**
"Nnurgh. The aquamarines like sweets. The emeralds like she-lei-lei (Which is a St. Patrick's inspired cocktail beverage). UUuuuurgh! The rrr-rubies like cherries. The peridots like lemon-lime twist. The ssssapphires like blue~ berries. The rrr-rose zircons like strawberry champagne. The topaaazzz like orange...mmmmarmalade~. Urgh! What's happening? I....I feel so...Yes~...With this new size, I can get to where I need to go faster-urgh....Uuuuurrrrrgh!"
**Crashes through the cave**
"YyyyeeEEEEEESSSSss~! Grow! Grrrowww! GrrrrRRRROOWWW! I must HAVE those jewels!"
**Finishes growing**
"*Roars* Time to dine!"
**Begins to fly**

Three pieces of advice.
One, that script needs working on, it doesn't flow off the tongue at all. Not to mention it's a dragon musing to no one in particular about the gold and silver market, even with work it would bore and baffle.
Second, that voice distortion is really bad, it really sounds awful. Maybe ease off it a bit, subtle progression could render it a lot more palatable. A little less budget horror movie, a little more ASMR.
Three, you need more takes if this is the best one. The performance is very slow and wooden, practice lines until they're second nature then ease some character into them. Ideally it should get the idea across before the effects are even applied.
Oh. And don't try to be sexy, it never really works out. Just be the character, let the scenario make it appealing.
Maybe try a little crazy, mad with greed and all that, maniacal laughter is fun. Try a lot of different tones, play the character a number of ways and pick the one you like most.

Thanks for the opinionated advice but I think I'd rather do my own thing, thank you very much. If you actually want something of your taste, then I suggest you make your own audio clip, or commission someone who will follow very detailed instructions given from you. This was a commission, this is what the commissioner asked for, and he actually loved it and paid more than what I asked for (Which I didn't expect). Therefore, you do not tell me how I should create things on my profile. You do not own my profile, and you're not me. So I suggest you leave me be and let me do my own thing. I understand you're trying to give "advice" and "critique" but the way you worded everything just sounds really biased and judgemental.
Each of my audio works have different qualities due to time constraints, which explains the acting quality. If you follow me and actually pay attention to my journal entries, I hardly have time to create audio like I used to due to still living with my parents. So I don't have time to "play with my performance", or "practice". So some of my acting will sound off, others will sound better. This wasn't meant to be a "better" one of my audio works.
I wasn't even trying to be sexy, either. Let alone, not trying to sound like a low-budget horror film. I was trying to make it sound like the dragon was gaining power while growing bigger, so it's more fantasy than horror. If it had sexual themes, then I would've made this audio clip for a mature audience. And if it was horror based, it would've sounded a lot more graphic, which would give another reason for the mature rating.

1. I made no "allegations" whatsoever., no speculations about the nature of your equipment whatsoever. I noted that the pitch shifting made it sound bad.
Basically it doesn't sound like a dragon getting bigger so much as you pitch shifted your voice down through the floorboards.

It's funny that you don't consider my advice constructive, considering I pretty much lifted it wholesale from professional voice actors.
So you can continue to not improve your craft, I have no interest in artists so poor they're incapable of even recognizing good advice.

Nothing but biased, downgrading, and possessive complaints. This is pretty cool. I always find your audio work to be good (my favorite still being "Monster Dog TF Audio" :p ).
Although here, near the end, I'd say the effects are maybe too intensified (at 3:35 ). Then, it feels more like listening to someone in slowmo than someone with a powerful voice. I suppose it's inevitable, since your voice is distorted from the beginning of the audio, trying to add to that can't be easy.
But it's still good. Keep up the good work. ;)

Thank you And appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I thought I'd kinda experiment with this. It was both me and the person that commissioned this' decision to deepen the voice more. I admit it did sound odd but I thought it was something a bit different than what I've done before, and thought "Why not? I'll share what I've come up with". Even the person that commissioned this was okay with it. Even the microphone and program I use doesn't really help for when it comes to quality. But those are all I can afford, for now.
At one point, I don't think the microphone will change much. The one you have should be enough for what you do.
I myself own a microphone made for podcasting, but then, you need all the sound-proofing-plates on the walls to have the best quality, and so on, and so forth. ^^'
If one person could do everything alone, nobody would hire voice-actors anymore, if you see what I mean.
For something like this, maybe you'd do better finding someone with a naturally deeper voice to work with you. Even I'd be happy to lend a hand (but I doubt you'd be open to that). :p

Actually, I've been looking for a male voice actor for this audio commission for quite some time. Thing is the script's not made yet (I will let the person know on when I will need the script), and it's for a double werewolf transformation (Meaning both female and a male transforming. I'm obviously gonna be the female).
