I was prowling about Davis Monthan AFB today (Tucson) and came across this captured Iraqi T-62 parked outside the 355TH Squadron (A-10s). And me, being a natural armor geek, just had to get out and look at this hunk of Soviet designed hardware. And pose with it. This T-62 one is intact and not damaged.

This was a Soviet made one, Cyrillic lettering gave it away on parts of the armor.

As I understand it, if you are on a T-62 tank crew you were picked because of your small size... If you are over 5'10" you don't fit in it very well... At 6 feet you forget the helmet.

Tucson, huh? That's just a stone's throw away from Mesa. Too bad I couldn't have been there, I would've bought ya a cold beer. That would have needed to be drank in the shade, since the whole 'cold' thing don't last too long in the sun. x3
