Does anyone know this artist???
My disclaimer - The one on the left is by someone else and I don't know who. I'm trying to find the artist who created it! Inspired by the original, I drew the one on the right, changing a few details just because I wanted to. I thought I'd put them side by side so it doesn't look like I'm trying to take credit for someone else's work, and because the original is kewl!
I found this drawing on VCL a few years ago and was sucked into the fandom just because of it, so I'd like to say hello to the one who made it and put me on this path. Can anyone help? In the meantime, check out my not-so-suck rendition.
I thought he needed undies. So, undies. For some reason my scanner didn't want to pick up the accent shading I did very well. You can only just see it. I don't like how one of the feet turned out now that I look at it, but it ain't terrible. I'm very pleased with how this turned out since I drew it all by hand.

He's a damn good artist! But what i saw! I don't want to comment! I must say you rock! At least you can draw someone else's art the same! I have'nt tried that in years. You should draw your own icon! I guess you can't color yet?

DUDE, you ROCK! I had no real hope of ever figuring out who this was by, and then you come along. It's like fate or something!
Seriously, I can't thank you enough for pointing me in the right direction. But, you praise me too much. My version isn't quite identical to the original even in the places I tried to make it so, and I don't feel that it takes much talent to redo someone else's image. Given enough time anybody could probably do the same thing I did. It's only about two steps away from tracing.
I'm thinking of some ideas for my own icon, but yes, you're right. I currently lack coloring abilities. And supplies. All I got are crayons, Crayola markers, and really cheap colored pencils. And I haven't exactly figured out the whole aspect of coloring in Photoshop or anything like that... I may say hell to it all eventually and just colored pencil whatever I come up with.

Yup! My memory serves me well! Don't give up! I'll fry my mine brain trying to get that stuff together when i get those programs. Sometimes all i have is time. We've both seen artist use traditional art and do well. Look out,i've got some coloered pencils too! I like to get some colored prisma markers or pencils(if forgot what they are.) They are exspensive. You've got to have your "personal touch" to it anyway.
I meant when you can draw something almost excatly like someone else. But you add your personal touch it so you don't get sued! (LOL!) Immittation is the sencearest form of flattery! (at least that's what my mommiekins said to me when i tried to forge her name on that detention note my teacher sent home with me in my younger day!)
