Wrennifer had to make a double-take after entering the locale. When Danica had invited her to join her in a yoga session, Wrennifer's first instinct was to dress up a little extra provocative, what with her being back in the game and all. Being an obligate flirt left her with little inhibitions anyway.
But of course her friend, Danica, being the one-track-mind ditz that she often was, had nothing but sincerity on her mind when she had invited Wrennifer. "Come with me to yoga practice, a few sesh's with me and your back won't trouble you as much." she had said and she meant it. There would be no flirting with cute boys or hunky guys at this all-women's class. Wrennifer, disappointed, left herself at the mercy of the blonde cat-woman.
Danica on the other hand was overjoyed at having her bestie with her doing one of her favourite activities together. Although only an hour ago they had been on opposite sides of the Atlantic. And both of them had been 10 years younger. But millennial anxiety had given way to middle-aged responsibilities in the face of that weird message that both had heard on their phones. And now they were idly chatting about sleep-overs for their kids and going out for brunch on Sunday with the same casualness as if they had done that for years together.
Still, the practice was reinvigorating for Wrennifer and she did make a note to return at least once per week with Danica. Of course, she was still dismayed over the severe lack of boys at the practice and a little annoyed at how naturally her cat-woman friend casually took to the more advanced poses. "Some people were born with BONES, Danica." she said.

This piece was also initially inspired by a brief talk between Wrenzephyr2 and I about how yoga relaxes you in face of insomnia sometimes. I actually do yoga pretty regularly at home because it feels good with all the sitting down and drawing I do. So it makes sense if MamaCat also does a lot of yoga.
Also, MamaCat's real name is Danica, because it's like DaniCa. Geddit? DangerCat? It's also a very "mom" name so that works too :B
