SECTION LENGTH:
1 and 1/2 pages
You never know when opportunity will come knocking on your door. The only question is whether you will be there to answer when it does.
Finn's current situation has our young, dragon friend feeling as if there truly is no hope for those who are different in life. However, like any good story, the tale is but half done and there is much more to Finn's life than his exile and slide into reclusive depression.

This is shaping up to be a really good story.
Also, something I wanted to commend you for... a lot of stories with morals about "being different" written by us fellow white people can almost be seen to unconsciously airbrush away differences, usually under the "But we're all the same inside" while not really acknowledging that you can't change your OUTside.
But what you're showing so far with Finn is a willingness to not shy away from differences, that they are something to be celebrated, too.
That's awesome. I can't wait for more.

I'm glad you are enjoying this conceptual tale. Morals are matters that, as a juvenile writer, I want to get better at doing. However, as you pointed out, I want to do them in a way in which they aren't as cookie-cutter as you tend to see in mainstream literature. My hope is that, in utilizing this style, the moral is actually learned rather than simply acknowledged. :)
The issue at hand, though, is that I need to learn how to do this at the juvenile level. Flashy words help TONS and work for older readers. However, to do so where an 8 to 12 year old would get it will be my greatest challenge to date.
As for diversity, I strive to write from an "open" perspective. I feel that my current project, in which is taking longer than I'd like due to moving and job search, does well for this goal. However, if I ever to get to re-vamp my core work, I will have quite a task at hand to get around it.
Though, through the help of great friends like you, I'm sure I'll figure out how to do it. :) *Hugs* Thanks as always for everything!

Ahaha, wowwie, things really turned around! Squirrel done got himself a job doing the thing he got booted away for!
And ahaha, I like the name Bearfield. 8D It sounds like a funny place.
It's nice that the story wasn't over! IT wouldn't have been the same without the uplifting ending. :3 If this is the end of this one tale, anywho.

I'm glad you liked it. I was going to actually wait to finish this part, but I didn't want to go into the weekend on a negative note. :) *cush-cush*
There is one more part to this story in which I am hoping to put together sometime by early next week. Kind of "wrapping it all up." If it goes well, and people like it, I may throw another of these together at some point.
*Flutter jumps* I do so love to write. I just wish I loved to work on job forms more. *sigh* Back to the grind. *Ticki-Ticki-Ticki* :) <LoL!>

Yep, yep, yep! There is indeed more to the tale. However, the telling of it will now shift to the style used in the very original tale Bedtime Story[/i].
The next section will be the last for how Finn's tale educates our friend, The Little Blue Dragon[/i]. I am glad that you have enjoyed it so far and am looking forward to seeing what you think of the whole concept once it comes to a close. :)
