Mercenary sees Lin hu from across the bar drunk and goes over to talk
Lin hu: oh what do you want?
Mercenary: you seem to be excessing on the booze tonight shall I join you you seem alone
Lin hu: well I guess....
The two converse and find common ground seeing that they both lost their comrades and travel alone they contend to be with one another and divulge to a new adventure.
Mercenary and Lin hu in the boreal valley hunting for a jade mask meant to regain resolve and health
Lin hu steps and feels the ground break under him while doing so mercenary saves him by grasping his hand and pulls him right hugging him
Lin hu: oh okay that happened but please let go
Mercenary: sorry your just so soft
The two laugh and go on finding the mask being guarded by a massive basilisk blocking their path
Seeing this they fight as mercenary attempts to get the mask the tail of the beast strikes him only to see Lin hu take the blow
Seeing him knocked in the wall unconscious mercenary runs to him knocked out
Mercenary takes Lin hu out of the dungeon forgetting the mask and cradles him in his arms until he awakens bandaging his wounds

Lin hu buries his head into mercenaries lap as they fall asleep under the trees awakening in the evening
As they gaze into one another's eyes they they gleam with adoration of one another and kiss as they sun sets

On a warm and calm Friday, everything was peaceful. The usually busy streets were filled with quiet and peacefullness. It was a bit unusual, but
people liked it. In an apartment, voices could be heard.
Liao: Alright, Lin. We're heading to the university for classes. Likulau is out in the forest to meet up someone. Are you sure you'll be okay while
we're away?
Lin: Of course. Just take care with that kitten next to you.
Yan: Hey. I thought we talked about this...
Lin: Hehe. Alright, sorry. Take care guys.
Liao: Okay. Bye.
Liao and Yan left the apartment. Only Lin was in it all alone. He read a couple of pages in a book, but he got bored quickly.
Lin: Damn. I'm so bored... What should I do?
Then Lin thought about something. He met a tiger a couple of weeks ago and he hasn't talked with him since then.
Lin: Hmm. I think I should call him up. I hope he's available.
Lin dialed a number.

Mercenary stepped in the cozy apartment. He had to admit it wasn't so big, but it looked comfortable.
Mercenary: Nice place. Are you live here alone?
Lin: No. I'm a guardian god, so I'm protecting a human here. There are another 2 spirit aswell: Yan and Likulau. They're both cats too.
Mercenary: Oh, nice. I'd like to meet them one day.
Lin: Well, if you stay here for long enough, you'll meet them.
Mercenary and Lin sat down on the bed and talked about many topics. Mercenary noticed that something was wrong with Lin. He decided to ask.
Mercenary: Hmm. Is there something on your mind, Lin?
Lin: No, not really.
Mercenary: Are you sure? Since I'm here, I saw you a bit... sad.
Lin: R-really? Was it really that noticeable? Sorry, I didn't want to...
Mercenary: You don't have to say anything. Just tell me, what's up.

Lin: You know... Since I'm the guardian of Liao, I've been with him. We always talked and had fun together. But now he has a boyfriend and spends most
